In the Franzerl, everybody lives and eats together! The large communal dining table made from solid oak with its cosy corner seating can accommodate 14 people comfortably. A good place for everyone to eat, laugh, talk together and put the world to rights. In front of a crackling flame-effect fire, you can enjoy playing board games and having a good chat and gossip.

Being together – but with the option of retreating to your own space! In the Franzerl, you will find seven bedrooms altogether, all facing south with an amazing view onto the blue-white shimmering lake. The five main bedrooms on the first floor all have a large balcony, WC and shower. The master bedroom in the loft has a bathtub.

When it gets a little cool outside after sundown: what could be nicer than relaxing under the same roof right there in the Franzerl? On the top floor of our property you will find a sauna accommodating up to 8 people with a superb view across Lake Weissensee as well as an infrared cubicle offering deep heat. You can relax on daybeds with a good book and drink tea in the lounge.

Our lakeside plot with its jetty and cabin is also available for your exclusive and very private use. Here, you can plunge into the clearest swimming water in the Alps, have a rest in the sun or semi-shade. On cool days, you can lounge on the daybed in the cabin with a good book.

While staying at the Franzerl, you will holiday directly on the most pristine and highest swimming lake of the Alps. Thanks to unique geographic and geological conditions, the shimmering turquoise water of the lake can reach up to 24 degrees Celsius in the summer; in winter, it regularly offers the largest expanse of natural ice in Europe that is managed for people to enjoy.
